Riding Hats & Body Protectors

Has your riding helmet and body protector been fitted by a Trained fitter?
It may sound minor but incorrectly fitted rider safety equipment can be seriously dangerous.

All our staff have been trained to the highest standard to help you choose a riding hat, and/or body armour, that not only suits you, but provides you with confidence in the knowledge that the protection that you are wearing fits correctly.

Riders competing under the rules of a Discipline, or The Pony Club, or Riding Clubs should refer to the respective rule books as to the standards allowed.
All our helmets and body protectors are to current standards set out by B.H.S The Pony Club British Eventing BERA BSJA.
Certified to current BSI EN, we also hold hats to the new PAS 015 standards.

New riding hat standards issued 18th Dec 2014.
Safety standards, including BSEN 1384, are typically revised every 5 years, but not every revision results in significant changes.

Due to safety revisions, body protectors with the 2000 mark will no longer be permitted for competition use for British Eventing from 1st January 2018. Body armour with the 2009 label are still up to standard. Only body protectors with the 2009 label are acceptable for Pony Club activities as of 2017. Please check rule books for any riding club or group for the standards that they allow.

Please note we are unable to supply helmets or body protectors by mail order or through the Internet.  We have added them to our web shop for you to browse only.  For your safety, all rider safety equipment must be fitted by one of our trained staff.  For more information, or to book a fitting appointment, please contact us.
